AMDA International Medical Information Center
AMDA provides medical information services including: introductions to medical facilities and practitioners, information on the Japanese medical system, publication of multi-lingual guide books, seminars and symposia on medical service for foreigners living in Japan.
Center for Multiculture Information and Assistance
CMIA supports foreigners living in Japan. Offering help and advise to the foreign community mainly around Kansai area. The activities include: telephone counseling, medical assistance, support to the foreign media, support for migrant children as well as seminars and fieldwork.
Citizens' Alliance for Saving the Atmosphere and the Earth
CASA protects both the local and global environments through solidarity with overseas and local Japanese NGOs. The activities are based on
1) research, exchange & proposal on environmental problems,
2) exchange & alliance with overseas NGOs, and
3) support of air pollution victims in Kansai area.
Japan International Volunteer Center
JIVC 1) promotes self-reliance in the Third World through development cooperation projects,
2) protects the environment form damage caused by economically advanced countries,
3) encourages understanding between Japanese and foreign communities in Japan.
Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation
JANIC foster closer relations among Japanese NGOs engaged in international cooperation; provide services for NGOs sound development; encourage networking among domestic and international NGOs and related organizations; encourage dialogue between NGOs and other sectors of society; deepen Japanese public understanding of and support for NGO activities and international cooperation; and conduct research on NGOs and international cooperation.
Japan Pacific Resource Network
JPRN is a nonprofit public interest and educational organization which pursues a more just society, promoting civil rights, corporate social responsibility, and community empowerment in the context of US-Japan relations.
Nippon Volunteer Network Active in Disaster
NVNAD coordinates and harmonizes various activities of volunteers and government in the disaster field. They aim the establishment of rapid relief systems for coming disasters and make effective proposals for regional disaster-managing plans through many experiences obtained through the past activities with the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake as a start.
Pacific Asia Resource Center
PARC creates an international grass-roots network to promote harmony and end discrimination in Asia.
Tokyo Voluntary Action Center
TVAC encourage people to engage in voluntary activities as well as support volunteers and NPOs in the Tokyo Metropolitan area. They establish volunteer programs in schools, companies, and various communities in cooperation with local volunteer centers and other organizations for NPOs.
In addition, they research various issues and advocate new ideas to the public.
